Center Stage Series presents Russian Renaissance Saturday, Sept. 28, 7:30 pm in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall. Russian Renaissance is known for their aim towards a diversified audience to magnify and expand the representations of chamber music in folk, classical, and jazz with the use of Russian folk instruments. Get your tickets at the ticket office or tickets.luther.edu . Tickets are FREE for students with CAF and general admission tickets are also available for students.

Annual Plant Giveaway  is Tuesday, Oct. 1, 9:40-11:30 a.m. at the Valders greenhouse. Stop by for a free plant and free smiles! This event is a great opportunity to build your collection of plants, learn more about sustainability and wellness at Luther, and have a chance to connect with Sustainability Educators and Wellness ambassadors. Come early and bring your friends because these plants go fast! This event is made possible through the hard work of Luther College Facilities who cultivate and love these plants for us! Can't wait to see you there!

Christmas at Luther Tickets On Sale Oct. 1 to students and faculty/staff - Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Oct. 1, all students who are not performing in Christmas at Luther can secure one free ticket to a performance. You will need to log in to your Audience View account at tickets.luther.edu . More information and specific directions can be found at the Luther College student ticket page

Faculty and staff may also secure tickets beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 1. Refer to the Christmas at Luther faculty/staff page for detailed information. Priority status for both groups exists until Oct. 8, when ticket sales will open to alumni and parents of students not performing.

Fall SAC Concert Announcement - SAC Concerts is excited to announce that Quinn XCII will be performing in the Luther College Regents Center on Friday, Oct.11! With his ability to seamlessly blur the lines between pop, electronic, hip-hop, and soul music, he has quickly paved his own lane with his unique sound. Doors open at 7:30 pm, show starts at 8 pm. Tickets are free with CAF and $35 for the public and are available online and in the ticket office. 

Graduate/Professional School Day - Is graduate school in your future? Plan to attend on Thursday, Sept. 26, Dahl Centennial Union, Williams Lounge from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Over 40 colleges/universities will be attending! Stop by and visit with the representatives about their various programs.

Mark your calendars!   Fall Career Day, Thursday, Oct. 10, Dahl Centennial Union from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Stop by and visit with the 45 organizations about their internships and full-time opportunities. Take copies of your resume with you. Dress professionally!

2019 Upper Midwest Law Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 19th from 11 am to 1 pm at the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis. Each year, the law schools of Mitchell Hamline, St. Thomas, and the University of Minnesota host law schools from around the Midwest and other regions for students to have the opportunity to learn about various programs and the admissions process. Students will also have the opportunity to attend a panel to ask current law students about their experiences, and will receive a free LSAT practice test from The Princeton Review!  Students can register  for free, please contact Courtney Schott with any questions.

Documentary Screening & Discussion  – Everyone is invited to join Counseling Service, Active Minds & Social Work Association in viewing the documentary, You're Not Alone from the Kids in Crisis series. Focusing on youth mental health, the film shares the story of 4 young people, including a Luther College student, Barrett Poetker. Discussion will follow. Thursday, Sept 26th 7 - 8:30 p.m. in Valders 206, free and open to the community.

A Reading - David Faldet, professor of English at Luther College, will give a reading from his novel "King: A Mystery" on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. in Olin 102. The reading, sponsored by the Luther College English department, is open to the public with no charge for admission. Imagining the Driftless Region as the Holy Land, Faldet's first fictional work asks the question, "If a man like Jesus was alive in rural America in 2008, who would most want him dead?"

Book Signing on Wednesday, Sept. 25 with Linda LeGarde Grover , Professor of American Indian Studies at UMD will in Valder 206 at 7 p.m. with a book signing afterwards. Her lecture will be on, "Sweetgrass and Storytellers: Creative Narratives of Ojibwe Women's Lives. Copies of her books will be sold at the Book Shop and at the event.

Religion, Science and Evolution - Confessions of a Darwinian Skeptic.  Come to the Religion Forum with Dr Bob Shedinger on Thurs, Oct 3 at 7pm in Olin 102 where he shares aspects of his journey from advocate to skeptic, in his new book, The Mystery of Evolutionary Mechanisms , and why it matters how we understand the nature of religious thought and what it means to be a human in a dehumanizing world. A book signing follows. Sponsored by Religion Dept. and Luther Book Shop.
