Federal Policy: FY23 Omnibus, MIECHV Reauthorization

With the strong advocacy of many across the country, the end of 2022 saw the passage and signature from President Biden on legislation including H.R. 8876, the Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act of 2022, which reauthorizes the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) funding.

This monumental five-year reauthorization will double federal funding for MIECHV, double the set-aside for Tribes in the MIECHV program, and allow the continued use of virtual home visits. The Home Visiting Coalition has provided an updated social media toolkit to support outreach thanking members of Congress for prioritizing MIECHV.
