News & Notes
July Parks Series: Bushnell Park

Come play in the park! Bushnell Park welcomes all as Hartford’s only downtown park and the oldest publicly funded park in America, dating back to 1854.

With 37 acres and more than 450 trees, Bushnell Park offers a safe oasis with natural social distancing for walking, running, biking, yoga, or just sitting and relaxing. There is much to enjoy with a pond, a children’s play area, and many monuments and sculptures - Corning Fountain in particular is a great place to cool off during this heat wave.

State Wide Commuter Survey

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) wants to hear from you!

CTrides, on behalf of the CTDOT, is conducting a statewide survey to get feedback from those commuting during COVID-19. Your voice is important in helping figure out reopening plans and safe commuting arrangements. Survey results are anonymous, and will only take a few minutes to complete. The survey will run through July 27.

Sculpture in the City

Seven sculptures surround the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartfor d. In the age of social distancing, we encourage you to explore the museum grounds, and the architecture of our five connected buildings. Share your #sculptureinthecity experience on social media.
