Office Workers Around The World Expect It From Their Employers

“HP Workforce Sustainability Survey,” Global Insights Report, Edelman Intelligence for HP, April 2019. Baseon a 20-minute online survey of 5000 global office workers in 10 markets.


The survey included 20,000 consumers, office workers, and decision makers in 10 global markets. These are some of the findings that impact employers around the globe:

  • 61 percent believe business sustainability is mandatory
  • 58 percent said environmentally conscious practices are key to engaging future workforce
  • 46 percent said they would only work for companies with sustainable business practices
  • 56 percent believe that ignoring environmental impact in the workplace is as bad as ignoring diversity and inclusion.
  • Employees are more productive, motivated, and engaged when working for an employer who is leading the charge in social responsibility.

In 2019, 128 companies were recognized for exemplifying and advancing corporate citizenship, transparency and the standards of integrity, and honored as the World's Most Ethical Companies .  The honorees span 21 countries and 50 industries, representing companies that are purpose-driven and uphold high standards of ethics and compliance.

Four of these companies, headquartered in Wisconsin, will be joining us to talk about the intersection between ethics and sustainability. The speakers will discuss why this intersection it’s important, how to build a code of ethics for your organization, and how it relates to sustainability programming, giving attendees tips for how to build a sustainability program with ethics in mind.
