Here is what's Buzzing:

National Merit Semifinalist

McGill-Toolen Catholic High School is excited to recognize William Porr as our National Merit Semifinalist for 2024! Over 1.3 million juniors in nearly 21,000 high schools entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 PSAT/NMSQT qualifying test. William has made it to the Semifinalist pool of more than 16,000 high achievers.

This is a significant honor, as these students represent the top scores in their state and less than one percent of high school seniors nationwide. William will now compete for over 7,500 National Merit Scholarships, totaling nearly $30 million, to be awarded next spring.

Homecoming week is next week. Below is important information for t-shirt orders, spirit dress days, and dance tickets.

We started our ACT prep today! Students were introduced to different sections of the test and were taught test taking strategies. Students have online access, allowing flexibility, to practice for the ACT test. Below is a picture of Mrs. Bailey working with Freshmen as they practice the English portion of the ACT test.
