Course Request Sheets 2025-2026

Course request sheets for the 2025-2026 school year will be given out to your child this week and next week. Please fill these out completely and return to your counselor before Friday, February 21st. Call or email your counselor should you have any questions. Thank you.

TESTING MARCH 25

Please be advised that we will have our school-wide ACT testing on Tuesday, March 25. Freshmen will take the Pre-ACT 8/9, Sophomores will take the Pre-ACT, and Juniors will take the ACT. We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling appointments during school hours. Additionally, students will be dismissed at noon on this day. Seniors will have their class retreat at Holy Spirit Hall this day.

McGill-Toolen Earns AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award

McGill-Toolen Catholic High School has been recognized with College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP).

Out of 1,153 schools, McGill-Toolen Catholic is one of 847 schools to receive this distinction for AP CSP. This award celebrates schools that have either achieved 50% or higher female exam taker representation in AP computer science courses or exceeded their school’s female population percentage in computer science exam participation.

We are honored to be part of this initiative and remain committed to fostering diversity in STEM!

Attention Freshmen and Sophomore Parents

WW II Field Trip to England and France

We are excited to explore the possibility of field trip to England and France next school year (2025-2026), focusing on World War II sites and cultural experiences. This 7-9 day trip would provide students with an incredible opportunity to visit historical landmarks, deepen their understanding of history, and immerse themselves in European culture.

To help us determine interest and plan accordingly, we ask that you complete a brief survey by clicking here.

Your feedback will assist in shaping the itinerary, estimated costs, and logistical details. Please complete the survey by Friday, February 7, 2025.

*If enough interest, this field trip will be for rising Sophomores and Juniors only. The email was sent to rising seniors as well. Please disregard the survey if you are the parent of a rising senior.

Indoor Track Team

The indoor track team competed this past weekend at the AHSAA state championship. Senior Wadsworth Pape and junior Shepard Schmohl both showed out in the pole vault finishing 2nd and third respectively. Both vaulters improved their lifetime bests by 6 inches with Pape clearing 14 feet and Schmohl vaulting 13-6 for the last all-state spot on the podium.
