Honoring Our Veterans

On Friday, we were honored to thank and celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country with selfless dedication. We welcomed our very own MCC family member and retired Captain Gary Maynard, who served 34 incredible years with both active and reserve duty in the United States Navy, as our keynote speaker. He shared highlights of his honorable career and emphasized that commitment to military service is about service to fellow Americans.

Veteran's Day is an essential reminder to thank those who have served - and this is also a great time to challenge ourselves to find a way to serve our community and make it part of our everyday lives.

Hustlers Care & Share

The Food & Service Club raised $323.00 and collected nearly 200 Thanksgiving food items for Ascension Social Concerns. Thanks so much to all who donated – your generosity will make a difference in many lives this Thanksgiving!

Exploring Fast Food Nutrition

Coach Dooley's HOPE and Team Sports classes researched the nutrition information for select menu items at various fast food restaurants. Based on data from the CalorieKing website, each student put together fast food meal options they considered healthy and some less nutritious. The classes also prepared a summary of their findings.
