July 2021
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Denise Polverine

I want to express my sincere congratulations to all of those awarded during The Press Club of Cleveland’s Excellence in Journalism program on Thursday, June 24.

We can all agree, 2020 was a very challenging year. As journalists and communicators, we played a vital role in keeping our communities informed on each new detail coming out related to COVID-19, masks, social distancing, vaccinations, social justice, politics and more. There were constant, life-changing stories to be told on all platforms.

While we serve the people, last week’s awards allowed us to step back and take just a moment to say ‘job well done’ and take pride in our professions.
