SEAL Family Testimonial
The New Year is here! We are excited to continue hosting SEALs and their families at the C4 Ranch. Below are a few testimonials from our Navy SEAL families.
"C4 Family, We continue to feel an overwhelming sense of togetherness and unity, not only with each other as a family, but with the adventurous nature and beauty that the ranch offers... so selflessly. This place is magical and we feel Charlie's fun and loving spirit all around us. We are grateful and humble to experience everything you all have created here. We love you all like family and will continue to support the C4 Ranch and spread the word of your mission. May you continue to grow, love, and thrive as one."

-Navy SEAL Family
"The C4 Ranch is amazing; it offers limitless opportunities to those looking to get away and reconnect with their spouse or family. Guests are encouraged to hike, mountain bike (bring your own), trail run, fish, feed and pet the alpacas and pigs, play with the goats and chickens, and generally explore to your heart's content. This is a once in a lifetime chance to unplug and get back to nature."

$6,000 was raised that directly supports active duty Navy SEALs and their families through the C4 Foundation! Thank you to all who donated.

Our goal for 2021 is to lay wreaths on ALL gravesites at Fort Rosecrans so we can honor EVERY SINGLE VETERAN who sacrificed their lives for this great country.

Lessons From The C4 Ranch
Be It Resolved
By Dr. Glenn Fox, PhD
C4 Foundation's Chief Science Officer
Resolve is a great word. According to the word's origin, resolve comes from the Latin word resolvere, to “loosen, unyoke, undo, explain, relax, set free, make void, and dispel.” In modern times, resolve can mean to find a solution to a problem, make a decision on a matter, and to show determination and grit.

Finding resolve is different than creating resolutions. Every new year (particularly for 2021 as we leave a historically difficult 2020 behind us), many people make New Year’s Resolutions as a way to set goals or change old habits. Resolutions are often hollow and self-critical in ways that will not lead to meaningful change. Resolve, however, is what motivates us to breathe deeply, focus on the present, and make meaning out of what is around us.

So this year, rather than setting out to “lose those quarantine pounds” or whatever typical resolutions we may want to set, let’s instead focus on our resolve. Let’s look deeply at the tools we have right now to share purpose, let go of past injuries and quarrels, and savor the good stuff that happens every day at the deepest levels of our personal story.

Take a tip from our C4 FROG program, which is designed to build resolve for SEAL teams, and their families. Take every moment as a moment to connect, share big fantastic ideas with your family that you’re looking forward to, breathe deep as you cook a meal, and most of all be grateful that a new year and a fresh start gives us the opportunity to take stock in what matters and have a bit of fun wherever we can.

We look forward to a very big 2021 at the C4 Foundation, it will be a year of connection for SEAL families, and a time for growth, healing, and prosperity in our magnificent country. Be it resolved.

Cheers to you all.

A Look Back At 2020
By SEAL Spouse of 22 Years & C4 Ranch Program Participant
It’s finally here, and we made it! Welcome to The New Year! I don’t believe that anyone would dispute that the past 12 months have been very challenging for our country and the world. The events of 2020 have impacted our health, our economy, our relationships, and our well-being.  Quarantine, separation, and loss have become something that we all have grown accustomed to.

These feelings of isolation are nothing new to our SEAL families, because on top of those incredible stressors listed above, our spouses are still being deployed. When a loved one is deployed over the holidays, as SEAL operators are more often than not, you learn to adapt and find joy in the little things. SEAL spouses become uncommonly good at persevering through the separation and loneliness. Spouses find solace in each other and in the support of the SEAL Community. The C4 Foundation has become an important part of that support. The C4 Foundation plays a pivotal role in strengthening the family and providing a space for spouses to feel connected.

I have felt this first-hand on my visits to the C4 Ranch. My family leaves the Ranch stronger and more prepared to face the pressures of military life. The C4 Foundation has created a place at the C4 Ranch that reinforces the SEAL Family. As we look forward to 2021, outside support and donations are pivotal in helping the C4 Foundation continue their work. Every SEAL family that visits the C4 Ranch and takes part in the C4 Foundation Programs thanks you in advance for your support!

Thank You
David and Nina Wells!
What an amazing way to end a very challenging year! The Perfect 33 Foundation was founded by some pretty special people, David and Nina Wells. They were able to pull off one of the best events we have ever attended in San Diego. In October, The Perfect 33 Foundation held a two-day auction and golf tournament at Sycuan Resort and Casino with proceeds benefiting The C4 Foundation. This event has now become one of the most sought after fundraising events on C4 Foundation's annual schedule.

The Perfect 33 team joined us at The C4 Ranch to present a check for $200,000 from the event in October. We are excited to join forces with Perfect 33 and want to send a special thank you to the founders, former NY Yankee's pitcher, David Wells and his wife Nina Wells. Thank you David and Nina for your ongoing support that will directly benefit active duty Navy SEALs and their families!
Thank You To All of the Support
