The Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT) is a comprehensive substance use treatment center developed by Washington County.

The CATT Connection

November 2025

The CATT's Beaverton site is open!

On Monday, November 17th, the CATT’s Beaverton Recovery Center site officially began admitting individuals into residential treatment and withdrawal management (detox) treatment. This event marked the culmination of six years of planning, fundraising, program development and partnership. Many hundreds of people participated in the design, construction and development of the CATT. It was truly a community effort!

Leadership from CODA has participated in the project since the very beginning and we were delighted to take this journey with them. “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner. CODA shared our vision of no-wrong door, empirically driven services and the belief that our community members deserve having a program like the CATT available to support them, their friends and their family members” said Kristin Burke, Special Projects Supervisor and project manager for the CATT.

Adding 86 beds to our treatment continuum was no small feat. The new programming resulted in CODA growing their organization by nearly a third, requiring significant restructuring and the hiring of dozens of new staff. Alison Noice, Executive Director of CODA, notes: "The day we’ve been planning for is finally here! We believe we’ve created something special that will honor the people we serve and give our staff a welcoming place to work. While it is a significant expansion for CODA, it aligns perfectly with our vision of a fully integrated, readily accessible continuum of addictions care. We’re honored to be part of such a significant transformation in Washington County."

To access withdrawal management or residential treatment services, please call CODA’s assessment line at 855-SEE-CODA (855-733-2632). Sobering services are not available yet but will open next year.

Many services are now available at the CATT

With the opening of the Beaverton site, the CATT now provides a broad continuum of services for our community at two different locations. Here is a summary of the services that are currently available:

Beaverton Recovery Center (BRC) located at 17911 NW Evergreen Place

  • Residential Treatment: A facility-based treatment program where a person lives in a supportive environment and learns the skills to avoid relapse. Services are commonly 30-90 days. The CATT has 24-28 men’s and 20-28 women’s residential beds.
  • Withdrawal Management (also known as detoxification or detox): Provides medical monitoring and support to individuals who have developed a physical dependence on alcohol or opiates. This is typically a short-term service, often with transition to residential services upon discharge. The average length of stay is 3-5 days. The BRC has 16 detox beds.

Hillsboro Recovery Center (HRC) located at 5250 NE Elam Young Parkway

  • Peer Drop-in Center: The Peer Company (formerly Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon) operates the peer drop-in center at the CATT. The center is a space where individuals in recovery and their friends, family and other supports can come together. Drop-in centers provide opportunities for connection, mutual support, and development of peer networks and resources, all of which are critical to recovery.
  • Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment: Our outpatient services focus on the Latinx community and include treatment interventions, peer supports, medication management and counseling. Solutions Group NW provides the outpatient services in Spanish (with English available).
  • Crisis Services/Hawthorn Walk-In Center: This program offers urgent behavioral health crisis intervention, assessment and stabilization services. It provides connection to both mental health and substance use treatment services. LifeWorks NW is the service provider.
  • Washington County Behavioral Health provides care coordination, abuse investigations and civil commitment services.

For clients enrolled in any of the services described above, the following supports are also available:

  • Health Services: Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center provides onsite health-related supports including treatment, service coordination and connection to ongoing health care services.
  • Project Homeless Connect is on-site to help assess housing needs, provide initial Community Connect assessments and provide supportive services for individuals referred to them by other providers at the HRC.

We aren’t done yet! Next year we plan to open a sobering program at our Beaverton site to help support those who are acutely intoxicated. Our sobering program will offer a safe place for individuals to sober while vital signs are monitored. We are also exploring the possibility of integrating a pharmacy onsite at our Hillsboro building. Keep an eye on our website for information about these services in the future.

Drop toys off at the Hillsboro Recovery Center!

What better way to celebrate our opening than to give back to our community? The CATT’s Hillsboro location is a drop-off site for the KGW Great Toy Drive this year. If you haven’t seen our new building yet, this is a perfect opportunity to drop off a toy and explore our Hillsboro Recovery Center at the same time. We’ve set up a toy collection bin in the building’s hub, near the cafeteria. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to our building by the morning of December 14th and help share goodwill throughout our community!
