Opportunity to Play Collegiate Summer Baseball in Omaha

The Corn Belt League is designed for college baseball players who want to stay sharp and continue developing throughout the summer. Open to JuCo, NCAA (D1, D2, D3), and NAIA players, the CBL provides players with competitive game reps that helps you return to school better than when you left.

All games are played in Omaha, allowing for consistent competition, minimal travel, and a structured schedule that supports both baseball and life off the field. Playing in Omaha during June and July offers a unique experience—highlighted by the College World Series being in town—while evening games and limited travel give players the flexibility to work, earn income, and enjoy a balanced summer.

Additionally, players have the opportunity to compete alongside any current or former teammates, making the summer both familiar and competitive! All you have to do is put their name in the player request section of the registration.

Summer Jobs & Earning Opportunities

We know league fees can be a real expense, so we work directly with Omaha-area businesses to help players find flexible summer jobs that fit their baseball schedule. Nearly every player who has worked a summer job in the past makes back their league fee within the first month!

Common jobs include:

  • Golf courses
  • Field maintenance
  • Landscaping or moving companies
  • Umpiring youth baseball
  • Summer camps
  • General labor or construction

About the League Fee

I get that some players might hesitate when they hear “pay-to-play.” Here’s the truth:

Summer leagues aren’t built to make money — they’re built to create opportunities. League fees help cover things such as field rentals at well-maintained city ballparks and us getting experienced umpires. Over time, the league has realized how important it is to have umpires who are qualified to officiate at the college level and we want to ensure we are providing experienced officiates at all times.

The league keeps costs as low as possible. Plus, with their summer job opportunities, most players make back what they paid for league fees in the first month and often end up making more!
