Survey Says!
We know that June Dairy Month promotions make a BIG impact when it comes to dairy consumption. Last summer we asked you to fill out a survey to give us an idea of just how much dairy products were distributed at your events. Twenty-eight CDPGs submitted information and cumulatively moved more than 10,000 pounds of cheese, nearly 1,000 pounds of butter and over 5,000 gallons of milk!

Please take a few minutes and fill out this year’s survey. Not only are we looking for information about dairy product usage but also YOUR input about June Dairy Month kits, materials and online catalog offerings. Help us out and fill in your information at:
Check in with the Checkoff
Get people talking about and tasting Wisconsin cheese and dairy! Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin reached out to consumers through South by Southwest with the ‘world’s largest cheeseboard’ in Austin, Texas. At this event more than 250,000 attendees saw, tasted and talked about Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin’s spread of Wisconsin cheese and it was undeniably one of the biggest hits of this influential event. In fact, it reached more than 2.7 million consumers on social media and was written about in publications from Milwaukee to San Diego and magazines such as Food & Wine and C|Net who wrote about Wisconsin Cheese's domination of the event.

Events like this put Wisconsin cheese and dairy products in front of -- and in the mouths of -- consumers who might not otherwise know to look for our signature products.
Scoop It Forward Campaign
July is National Ice Cream Month, and a national campaign will kick off on National Ice Cream Day July 15. Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin invites you to Scoop It Forward

Scoop It Forward is about focusing on the good in people and showing appreciation for one another through random acts of sharing ice cream. From July 15 to 22, the campaign will be delivering ice cream, positivity and joy to people’s lives in surprising and unexpected ways, and encouraging others to do the same.

Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin will have a graphic to use in social promotions and will lead the campaign by giving away free scoops of ice cream in Madison (location TBD). With the free ice cream, we’ll ask consumers to Scoop It Forward by surprising someone they care about with ice cream and posting the experience on social.

How can you get involved?
Here are a few ideas on how you can participate locally
  • Promote Scoop It Forward on your social channels – in the coming weeks, we’ll provide the image and draft copy to use; you can also share America’s Dairyland posts about the campaign.
  • Host satellite events – work with a local ice cream business to give out free ice cream in your community.

Note, the ice cream giveaway can be any type of ice cream! Feel free to use custard, soft serve, gelato, etc.
