July is National Ice Cream Month, and a national campaign will kick off on National Ice Cream Day July 15. Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin invites you to
Scoop It Forward
Scoop It Forward is about focusing on the good in people and showing appreciation for one another through random acts of sharing ice cream. From July 15 to 22, the campaign will be delivering ice cream, positivity and joy to people’s lives in surprising and unexpected ways, and encouraging others to do the same.
Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin will have a graphic to use in social promotions and will lead the campaign by giving away free scoops of ice cream in Madison (location TBD). With the free ice cream, we’ll ask consumers to Scoop It Forward by surprising someone they care about with ice cream and posting the experience on social.
How can you get involved?
Here are a few ideas on how you can participate locally
- Promote Scoop It Forward on your social channels – in the coming weeks, we’ll provide the image and draft copy to use; you can also share America’s Dairyland posts about the campaign.
- Host satellite events – work with a local ice cream business to give out free ice cream in your community.
Note, the ice cream giveaway can be any type of ice cream! Feel free to use custard, soft serve, gelato, etc.
