Calvary has been our parish home for 30 years. Supporting it has been an important part of our commitment to this community. We support the vision and mission of this church as well as the broader Episcopal Church to the glory of God. Special emphasis is given to the care for those in need, both spiritually and physically. The enthusiasm for children and their inclusion in Calvary’s community has led me to be a part of their growth as Christians. We are blessed with beautiful, historic buildings; they have been a beacon to many and were the first thing that attached us to this community.
From the Junior Warden
The AC installation in Hannaford Hall is reaching its final stage. All the main equipment pieces are in place and all that remains is the ductwork. That should be done the first week in October. There are two independent systems being installed to replace the two that failed during the summer. These are up-grades in that they are "two-phase" units, meaning that they can run at a lower capacity or at a higher one. This will make the units more efficient (less energy) and run quieter. The two-phase require two new lines from the outside, which are now in place, and new ducts in the ceiling. The new ducts will be larger so that the air velocity will be reduced. This, along with interior insulation and the two-phase system, should cut the noise down appreciably. Once everything is in place we will test the sound levels and make modifications if needed. Cooler and quieter.
