Reflections on the COVID Rollercoaster
with Parish Mask Update

Dear Calvary Parish,

Our Mission is to be Confident in God's love for us; fearless in our love for all.

Over the past weeks, I've started thinking about ways we put this mission into action in our day to day lives. On this past Sunday, I heard an outstanding example. Hugo has been to worship at Calvary this year with his grandmother, Jane Paraskevopoulos, and also helps to deliver Forward Movements door to door with her.

You can read below about Hugo's deep compassion, his mother's care in helping him to put love into action, and the kind response of Cincinnati Fire Department's Pete Wood. Firefighter Wood expressed the core of what what #ConfidentFearlessLove looks like in action in telling Hugo's story this past Monday on Facebook. You can check it out below.

Let's keep our hearts and minds open for more ways we can see love at work in our lives and the lives of those around us.

The Reverend Allison English
St. Andrew's Pantry
"St. Andrew's Food Pantry continues to serve our neighbors each week by offering food and basic necessities free of charge. They are in need of hygiene products (especially deodorant), small jars of instant coffee, instant creamer (non-refrigerated), and juice. Won't you prayerfully consider purchasing a few items from this list and bringing them along to worship with you on Sunday? Please contact Miriam Hill or Reverend Olivia with any questions or if you would like to make a donation but won't be here on Sunday. We can arrange to pick up the items from you!"
All are invited to EfM!

Even if you participated long ago, the curriculum has since been updated.
Did you know that you became a minister when you were baptized?

Do you want to better understand scripture, Christian tradition, your life of faith, and your ministry?

Education for Ministry (EfM) invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened.

Calvary is planning to convene an EfM group, providing a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity.
Procter Camp is officially open!

Rev. Allison and her family invite you to join them at
Family Camp July 22-25.

Rev. Olivia and her family invite you to join them at
Family Camp July 29-August 1.

Youth Camps are OPEN by popular demand, offered
July 5-9 and July 12-16.

See you at church and at Procter Camp this summer!
Becoming Beloved Community
Summer Book Study

This summer, we will have a weekly exploration of one classic text and one emerging text on the topic of how the Church lives out the call to Become Beloved Community.

Thurman and Spellers offer classic and fresh hope for the church and how we confidently and fearlessly love one another.
