Summer for Families at Calvary Church

This Sunday, the Family Service resumes in-person at 9:15 a.m.

Families, be prepared, as the service will be less “free-range” due to COVID. Plan for each person in your household to wear a mask. Households will be asked to sit at a table or a specific area together throughout the service, which will last approximately 40-45 minutes.

The liturgy includes:
 - Opening Acclamation with sounding the gong, candle-lighting, and the Prayer of Light!
 - Music
 - Summer Stories (a special storybook related to the Lectionary reading for the day)
 - Prayers
 - Eucharist (bread only, brought to your seating area by the priest)
- Children will have special “dots” to sit on at an appropriate physical distance from the altar, but so they have the best view possible.
 - The Peace with a special song that dismisses us to a special traffic-safe fellowship area in the parking lot.

Activity packets will be available for busy children!

Also, Procter Camp is officially open!

Rev. Allison and her family invite you to join them at Family Camp July 22-25.

Rev. Olivia and her family invite you to join them at Family Camp July 29-August 1.

Youth Camps are OPEN by popular demand, offered
July 5-9 and July 12-16.

Register here to be part of the fun!

Earlier this Spring, Bishop Price held a Zoom webinar for priests hosted by physicians and mental health professionals. They urged churches to begin to hold in-person gatherings (taking appropriate precautions like mask-wearing and distancing) this summer, citing that the benefit for the mental health of children outweighs the COVID risk in a more highly-vaccinated population.

See you at church and at Procter Camp this summer!
A Notice from the Clergy, Vestry, and Staff

Each member of the Clergy, Vestry, and Staff is now FULLY VACCINATED.
We urge all members of Calvary Parish who are eligible for vaccinations to please receive one. If you need help making an appointment or getting to a vaccination appointment, please contact the Rector at or by calling her cell phone: 513-401-5781.

For your convenience and safety, Calvary will continue to stream worship online along with offering our in-person options for your maximum sense of well-being.
Rev. Olivia and Family Invite you to an
Ice Cream Social ~ June 26th
My family and I are so excited to make our move to Calvary House later this month! We are grateful for everyone who has helped with the transition and for the many ways you’ve supported us through your prayers and presence in our lives. We especially want to thank Gary and the Building and Grounds Team for their extensive work prepping the house! It looks spectacular.

We hope you’ll join us for an ice cream social to mark our move-in on Saturday, June 26th from 2-4 p.m. in the Calvary parking lot, and as our small way of saying “thank you.” Dojo Gelato will be serving scoops from their truck.

RSVP HERE so we know how much ice cream to order!

We hope to see you and your family there.

Rev. Olivia
Becoming Beloved Community
Summer Book Study

This summer, we will have a weekly exploration of one classic text and one emerging text on the topic of how the Church lives out the call to Become Beloved Community.

Thurman and Spellers offer classic and fresh hope for the church and how we confidently and fearlessly love one another.

Starting June 2
7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

12 Weeks in June, July, and August via ZOOM
Come as you are available.

Both texts are available on the stage at church in Hannaford Hall.

If you are able to contribute to the book cost, please offer $20, otherwise, please still take the books and join the class.

El Hogar Mission

The people of Honduras do not yet have access to vaccinations. El Hogar is working to make sure each student has a laptop and internet access so learning can continue remotely during lockdown.

We will be taking up an offering for the next two weeks in worship. Please make checks out to Calvary Episcopal Church with El Hogar in the memo. Or, give directly at the link in this e-mail.
The Benevolence Fund
The Rector and Vestry of Calvary Parish have established The Benevolence Fund.

Please notify the rector of any need for housing, medications, or utilities expenses you are struggling to meet Rev. Allison. The Benevolence Team will blindly review requests and one-time payments will be made.

To donate, please send checks to:
