Fifth Sunday of Easter
May Crowning Sunday at 10am
The children of Christ the King will lay flowers at Mary's feet during the May Crowning at Sunday's 10am Mass.

Throughout history, Catholics have long honored the Blessed Virgin Mary during the month of May. To symbolize her significance in the Church and in our lives, the “May Crowning" typically involves a procession and a statue of the Blessed Virgin crowned or adorned with flowers, thus honoring Our Lady as both Queen and Mother to all the faithful.

The queen symbol was attributed to Mary because she was a perfect follower of Christ, who is the absolute “crown” of creation. She is the Mother of the Son of God.
Weekend Announcements
The Knights of Columbus will sell a limited number of raffle tickets to support the Center of Family Love in Okarche after all Masses this weekend. For $75/ticket, you'll have a chance at winning cash prizes, including one for $10,000, at their Gala on June 4 and you need not be present to win.

THIS Sunday, May 15th at 7pm, is 21&Up Bingo, with $5 cards, pizza & drinks and cash prizes.

Next Thursday, May 19th at 5:30pm, is 50&Wiser Happy Hour in the atrium.

If you're married or engaged and would like to join us after 5pm Mass on Saturday, May 21st for "Date Night," please register by Tuesday, May 17th. This is an evening of fellowship, wine, hors d'ouevres and great discussion. Our topic will be "The Eucharist and Marriage," presented by Fr. Alex Kroll.

We desperately need ushers at all Masses. If you are able and willing to serve in this (or any Liturgical Ministry), please contact the Parish Office at (405) 842-1481. Your help is much appreciated.

We had an awesome turnout (45 kids!) at Wednesday's Altar Server training. We will continue that training next Wednesday, May 18th, from 3-4pm. Please direct your child back to the church after school Wednesday.

It's not too late to show your appreciation to Fr. Rex and Fr. Kalivela during Priest Appreciation Week! Send them a card, thank them after Mass, or drop a note on our website so that we may share it with them!

On Wednesday, May 25th, we're taking a Downtown Day Trip! Meet at CK at 11:30 before lunch at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill, followed by a 1:45pm cruise on the Oklahoma River. Please call Pam at (405) 842-1483 to reserve a spot.

Tuesday, May 31st, is our day at the Regional Food Bank. Let Pam know (pam@ckokc.org) by Friday, May 27th if you'd like to join us.
