CLS Summer Experience Survey

231 students responded to the CLS Summer Experience Survey! Thank you for participating.

Some interesting results include: 35% of students who responded did an internship, 28% had a job, 13% did research outside of Grinnell ,11% engaged in a MAP, 4% participated in a civic experience, and 9% did something else entirely.

Of these experiences, 66% were in person, 8% were remote, and 6% were hybrid.

These opportunities were found through networking for 24% of respondents, a different job list site for 19%, contacting the organization directly for 17%, Handshake for 7%, and at a fair or conference for 1%.

Global Fellowships & Awards Campus Deadlines in November include the Goldwater Scholarship for third- and second-year science students and the Carnegie - James C. Gaither Fellowship for fourth year students and alumni with interest in their disciplinary skills being applied to international affairs.
