Audience: 8th-12th Grade Math, Science, and Technology Teachers, CTE Instructors, STEM Educators, and more!

Dates: June 14 - 16, 2023, OR June 21 - 23, 2023

Location: The Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence at the University of Mississippi

Registration Deadline: May 15, 2023

Cost: $150.00

CEUs: Registered participants will be eligible for CEUs if they attend all three days of the Summer Leadership Program for Educators. CEUs cannot be prorated. There is a fee of $15 for CEUs.


Overnight accommodations are available upon request

Gravitational Waves Summer Workshop


The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Mississippi is hosting a summer workshop on gravitational waves (GW) for high school and college students. In this workshop, the students will learn about GW detection, data analysis with Python, black holes, and neutron stars. The workshop will be held on May 31-June 2, 2023 at the Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi.


Registration is free and will be first come, first serve, with a deadline of May 15. Computers will be provided for the workshop but students are free to use their own laptops.
