Kentucky State University COVID-19 Safety Week a success so far
Our campus is not quite the same this semester due to the ongoing pandemic, but the Kentucky State University campus community is taking strides to make it a safe, healthy and fun environment.

Nearly 600 students were voluntarily tested for COVID-19 during Thorobred Tuesday, doing their part to stop the spread. The remaining students and campus employees had access to voluntary testing during Thorobred Thursday.

Campus came together via video conference for two games of Virtual Jeopardy Monday, with many claiming prizes of all types. Questions included topics such as COVID-19 testing, proper hygiene practices, terms and social practices during the pandemic and best practices on campus to stay safe and healthy.

Many members of the campus community reached out to University officials following Jeopardy to express how much they enjoyed it and they hoped the campus could come together in similar ways in the future.

The campus community also participated in Wash Your Hands Wednesday, with nearly 25 video submissions in the campus-wide contest to showcase good hygiene practices for a chance to win prizes.

Friday campus community members are encouraged to join Forever KSU Forward Friday, when President Brown will discuss COVID-19 prevention. Door prizes, cash prizes and grab-and-go lunch will be available. The event takes place at 1 p.m. Friday. Check your Kentucky State email account for Zoom information.
