U.S. President Joe Biden delivered promising news Tuesday, suggesting all Americans who want COVID-19 vaccinations may have access to them by August. As the vaccine slowly rolls out across the country, we wait in anticipation for a step towards normalcy. As of Wednesday, it was estimated that 4.5 percent of the United States population has received both vaccinations and 12 percent has received the first dose.
COVID-19 cases and deaths in the nation and the commonwealth have plummeted, but still haven’t returned to pre-Thanksgiving levels. We must continue to keep up the good work but getting tested, wearing a tight-fitting or double mask, washing your hands frequently, cleaning and sanitizing your high-touch work and living areas and maintaining social distance of at least six feet.
