Many successful companies have set up an ombuds resource to surface and resolve issues early and often.

International Mediation Competition Applications Now Open

New deadline of November 18!

CPR returns to São Paulo, March 30 through April 1, for live competition where students from around the world can build on their mediation skills, network, and learn from some of the leading experts in mediation and dispute resolution.


Teams must submit an application for consideration by November 18. Please read and complete the application form carefully, including information about how teams plan to cover the costs of competing.

Commercial Arbitration Rules Comparison Tool

Nomination Deadline for 2022 Annual Awards is November 18

The CPR Institute’s Awards Program honors outstanding scholarship and practical achievement in the field of alternative dispute resolution. 


The 2022 Annual Awards will be presented in four categories at the CPR Annual Meeting, taking place in New Orleans March 1-3, 2023. The review committee comprises judges and lawyers from leading corporations, top law firms and academic institutions across the U.S. The submission deadline for 2022 Annual Awards is Friday, November 18.


The 2022 CPR Award for Outstanding Contribution to Diversity in ADR and the 2022 James P. Groton Award for Outstanding Leadership in Dispute Prevention will also be presented at the Annual Meeting. The deadline for nominations for these awards is Friday, December 16.

ACC’s Tori Payne on Measuring Diversity Efforts

On Oct. 3, the CPR National Task Force on Diversity in ADR hosted Association of Corporate Counsel Vice President and Chief Membership Officer Tori Payne. She led a presentation on the ACC Foundation Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Maturity Model.


As described by Payne, the model is a living, evolving tool designed for use by legal departments. It outlines clear descriptions for three levels of DEI maturity–“early,” “intermediate,” and “advanced.”
