My name is Lion Ron Niemaszyk, the GMT, Global Membership Team chairman for District 1-F.
My primary appointment is to increase membership in the district. With the trying times upon us it seams a little hard to look for new members but this is a vital ongoing problem for clubs.
We talk of the many ways to do this from social media, memberships in other clubs such as Chamber, Rotary etc. Personal contact is I think the best and most effective way of reaching future members. All Lions should be aware of the importance of recruiting new members. This will not only benefit the club, district, and state but LCI as well. Lets keep the LIONS the largest service club in the world. This begins with each and every Lion. ASK, yes ask friends, neighbors, business associates, social friends, the list goes on.
Encourage service minded people to join and be a part of the worlds largest service organization.
I encourage all newly elected club officials to go on-line to https://www.lionsclubs.org/en and search e-books. There you will find information for you about your important position and what is expected of you.
Presidents and membership chairmen should go to e-book for Club membership chairman. This tool walks the club membership chairperson through the fiscal year, providing calendar for tasks as well as tools and resources to fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
Online meetings have become the new way of staying in touch. As we begin to climb out of the restrictions, regular club meetings will start soon I’m sure!
Lets stay strong and healthy through these trying times.
