Professor James Cooper and co-author Kashyap Kompella's book, A Short and Happy Guide to AI Governance and Regulation (West Academic), was cited in an op-ed by Judge Patricia Pérez Goldberg, vice president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, published in Chile's leading newspaper, El Mercurio, on July 9.

Professor James Cooper's article, "A Comparative View of Artificial Intelligence Regulation in the European Union, Japan, People's Republic of China, and the United States of America," co-authored with Kashyap Kompella, was published in the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Professor Nancy Marcus presented her scholarship “Abortion and LGBTQ+ Medical Care Protections from Censorship and Compelled Speech After Chiles v. Salazar,” at the 2026 Queer Legal Scholarship Symposium, held as part of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association & Foundation Lavender Law Conference, on July 13.

Professor Joanna Sax signed an amicus brief submitted by leading food and drug law scholars in Louisiana v. FDA, a case concerning the abortion drug mifepristone, currently before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
