Welcome Back!

Welcome back! As we start a new semester, we hope you’re feeling refreshed and ready to take on new opportunities, challenges, and experiences.

We know that the world, the United States, and our communities may feel unpredictable right now. With so much happening around us, it’s important to take care of yourself, stay informed, and find balance between your responsibilities and well-being. Remember, you’re not alone—our residential communities are here to support you every step of the way. Whether you have questions about housing, need assistance with roommate issues, or simply want to chat, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities, and we're committed to ensuring that your living experience remains positive and enjoyable.

As you dive into classes, reconnect with friends, and set new goals, we encourage you to make the most of the resources available to you. We also encourage you to take advantage of the various community events and activities the Residence Hall Association and your residential staff have planned for this semester. These events are great opportunities to connect with your fellow residents, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

In the spirit of community, we’d like to offer a few important reminders:

  • Respect the residential facilities. If you notice something out of the ordinary, please report it to your residential staff and/or submit a work order. Keeping our living spaces well-maintained ensures a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
  • Respect all individuals of our SMC community. Regardless of differing values and abilities, we encourage you to approach each other with kindness, respect, and understanding. As we embrace our Lasallian value of inclusive community, we must meet one another where we are, without judgment and with care.
  • Keep our residence halls secure. Our residential buildings are not open to the public, so please ensure that all doors remain closed and locked at all times. With changing weather, we also want to prevent any unwanted creatures from making their way into our homes away from home.

We want you all to know that Campus Experience's Catholic and Lasallian commitment to fostering residential communities in which everyone's dignity is sacred and are all are welcomed remains unchanged. We are committed to continuing programs and services that support our mission.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for events or improvements to the residence halls, we'd love to hear from you! Your feedback helps us create a better living environment for everyone.
