Combine hot foods like grilled vegetables with cold ingredients like fresh greens for contrasting textures and flavors!

Food Safety Reminders for Dining on the Go!

Perishable Foods (such as meats, dairy, cooked vegetables) should be consumed:

  • 2 hours of picking up from the dining hall if stored at room temperature.
  • If outside temperatures exceed 90°F, consume within 1 hour.
  • Refrigerate immediately if not eating within that time. Once refrigerated, consume within 3-4 days.

Hot Foods:

  • Should be eaten within 2 hours or kept hot (above 140°F).
  • If you refrigerate hot food, ensure it cools quickly by separating into shallow containers.

Cold Foods:

  • Keep cold foods (like salads) at or below 40°F if storing for later. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 2-3 days.

Reheating Leftovers:

  • When reheating food, make sure it reaches 165°F to ensure safety.
  • Avoid reheating more than once to maintain the food’s quality and safety.

Avoid the Danger Zone:

  • Keep food out of the “danger zone” (40°F to 140°F), where bacteria grow rapidly.
  • Store food properly or consume it quickly

Toilet Paper is Available

If you are in need of toilet paper, you are welcome to stop by the Office of Residential Experience, Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM to pick up supplies.
