Come down and meet Kurt Gurdal, the new owner of The Canyon Grocer, freshly installed in the main building. You may know Kurt's delicious range of cheeses and charcuterie from his weekend tables here at Canyon Square. Now with his own shop, he will stock not only the best in those items but also a range of sweets, meats, fruits, and daily necessities.
"I'll have bread, milk, and soon farm fresh eggs. I stock the best I can find from the Santa Monica farmer's Market as well as local brands I like, like Eli's Bees honey from just up the street."

A second-generation cheesemonger who grew up working in his family's stores on the East Coast, Kurt can advise you on the most delicious pairings for his cheeses, and create that perfect packed picnic for the beach.

Open every day from 9am to 7pm.
While picking up that perfect lunch or dinner treat, don't forget to stop by at the reborn Rustic Coffee for a delicious smoothie, iced coffee or iced tea to beat the heat! The new menu is also available including our fabulous Avocado Toast, served on thick-cut sourdough or Gluten-free bread.
Open every day from 7:30am to 3pm.

Jeanne Chen and Bob Dolbinski, architects at Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners, built their house on a steep lot in the Rustic Canyon neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, in Southern California. Only the top level of the three-story home is visible from the street.
A floating white-oak staircase with stainless steel cables connects the home’s three levels, and exposed joists maximize ceiling height.  The carport, as the only large flat space on the 45° site, serves double duty as outdoor dining area and deck.
