Capitol Tech Doctoral Student Speaks at IEEE Conferences on

AI Governance and Cybersecurity


Cyber Leadership doctoral student and researcher, Vikram Kulothungan, was invited

to present at two conferences hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. As a leading subject matter expert in AI governance and cybersecurity, Vikram performs important research that focuses on addressing the complex challenges of AI regulation across jurisdictions.

Capitol Tech Signal-9 Cyber Battle Team

Signal 9 Cyber Battle Team Shines in Recent Competitions


Capitol Tech's cyber battle team, Signal 9, has had an exciting season this year with impressive placements and learning experiences along the way. In January, the team competed for the 2025 Mid-Atlantic CCDC Qualifiers and was awarded 8th place!

In March, they participated in the ISTS symposium hosted by RIT in Rochester, NY.

Next up in April is Summit CTF at Virginia Tech and BSides Charm in Towson, MD.

The field of uncrewed and autonomous systems (UAS) extends across a variety of sectors, both commercial and military, including construction, agriculture, delivery services, emergency services, surveillance, counterterrorism, environmental science, and more. Our online Master of Science in UAS provides a firm foundation in policy, risk management, flight operations, mission planning, data collection, and aeronautical engineering to support career advancement in this exciting field.
