Capitol Tech ODIN Team Selected for NASA RockSat 2026

Capitol Tech Student Payload Project Selected for

AI-Powered NASA Rocket Launch 


In an outstanding student achievement and a proud moment for Capitol Technology University, NASA announced the official selection of our student team’s payload for the RockSat 2026 sounding rocket flight scheduled for June 25, 2026. Our Observation & Detection Interpreted by Neural-networks (ODIN) team developed a payload with advanced sensors and onboard AI capable of interpreting data in real-time. Out of 24 universities competing, only 12 payloads were selected, making this a highly competitive endeavor and a great success for our students.

A major team milestone, Capitol Tech’s Signal 9 student team simultaneously participated in two national collegiate cybersecurity qualifier events (MACCDC and ISTS), underscoring the team’s growing reputation in competitive cyber defense and attack exercises.
