Dr. Ward was a prominent figure and professor at Capitol whose visionary leadership of our cybersecurity programs continues to impact the mission and success of our university as
we march towards our 100th anniversary in 2027.

Announcement of a New Student Scholarship
A new student scholarship has been established by Capitol Professor, Jeffrey Volosin. In honor of his late brother, the Joe Volosin Scholarship was created to help students in need who are pursuing a degree in Astronautical and Space Engineering. Professor Volosin, a strong advocate for astronautical education, recently moved from adjunct to full-time faculty at our university after retiring from his 38-year career supporting NASA, and receiving
the agency's highest recognition, the Distinguished Service Medal.

Capitol recently visited Las Vegas for its annual DEF CON Cyber Hacking Convention,
connecting with the global cyber community for this huge, 4-day event.

Dr. Joshua Sinai on the Value of Global Security Conferences
Dr. Joshua Sinai, Professor of Intelligence and Global Security Studies at Capitol, recently attended the annual National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Conference & Exhibition in Baltimore, MD.
As a press attendee, he offers his report findings in a detailed overview of the event proceedings, noting the value of attending such conferences for continuing education, networking, and staying informed on new trends in this evolving industry.
