Chief Justice Melton - State of Judiciary

On Tuesday, February 19th, Chief Justice Melton delivered the State of the Judiciary, saying our state's justice system is strong.

Georgia is beginning to benefit from the Criminal Justice Reforms implemented by former Governor Nathan Deal.

I am confident in Justice Melton and know he will make sure Georgians are treated fairly and justly by the Georgia Courts.

Continuing work to lower taxes on hard working Georgia, was happy to co-sponsor HR 306 along with Rep. Chuck Efstration and others.    Link to resolution:   HR 306

I continue to work with colleagues like Rep. Penny Houston to keep a watch on Georgia's Tax Expenditures and make sure Georgians get a value for every tax dollar the entrust to the State of Georgia.
