Important Notification for All Clinical Staff
Please Adjust Your Workflow Process Accordingly
With many changes in the organization structure, and especially with the implementation of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), it is imperative that staff are documenting "additional activities" in Evolv.  We understand that there is a learning curve for staff to adjust to this Documentation Workflow, and we gratefully appreciate all of your continued effort on behalf of those that we serve.
Please see this message from Michelle Alkhalaileh, our Chief Information Officer:

Hopefully you've noticed a change to our intranet home page.  For your convenience, the link to the Evolv Documentation Workflow guide has been made available to you from the intranet home page.  This guide is provided so that all staff are documenting consistently within Evolv.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Michelle.

Visitation, Counseling and Reunification Program
I want to speak to you more directly about Allison Maury on a more personal level.
Now I am sure you know how wonderful she is and how helpful and knowledgeable, but I need to let you know.

I was sitting this weekend watching my daughters and was so happy seeing them getting along as well as they were, and also reflecting back on some things. My daughters have always been in competition for people to take "their side" and if you didn't things didn't turn out too great. Although this is partially normal teenage sibling controversy it's been a big problem for us and a big part on a lot of issues escalating to where they never needed to get. So, thru a lot of the therapy and caseworkers and all the other people involved in our case my daughters have without hesitation refused to speak to individuals, sometimes completely justified and other times because they weren't hearing what they wanted to hear.

All of sudden I thought of that and realized that not ONE time have my daughters had a complaint or anything negative to say about Allison. When we first started there was a lot of back and forth with coming and I was so confused, hurt, scared feeling such guilt and feeling so hopeless. Allison stood strong by me and my family and hung in being a rock for me and was so insightful and so patient and eventually got my girls coming. I am so grateful for her and she truly has been a blessing. She handles every situation so perfectly. It's been a real roller coaster but no matter what she's real, she says things how they are and in a way that even if my kids don't want to hear it, and don't necessarily like what she has to say, and don't become engaged at that moment... I know they are listening and processing it.

Something I have really had to learn is what truly listening and hearing them is. And with that learning how to validate their feelings even if my decision on a matter isn't going to change or needing to tell them something isn't accurate. I think Allison has helped me the most with that out of everyone I have been working with. And I am not perfect i still mess that up sometimes and Allison will point it out but she does it in such a different way than everyone else. She acknowledges that i can be handling it different in front of my children but while correcting me she maintains respect and that I am the mom.

I just wanted to let you know how much of an impact she has on us and that i reflect much throughout my everyday life on her insight and guidance and use what she has taught me and I feel much more confident and am communicating differently. She is such a sweet and true loving soul and I feel blessed out of all this heartache to have met her and been able to work with her. I think she is going to help a lot of families and I hope others can see what we do so they can get as much from her as I have.
Amazing work, Allison!

Learn How to Exist in the Present Moment
Your Monthly Tip from myStrength

Do you sometimes feel swept up by day-to-day life?

That "busy" feeling can be overpowering. Anxiety can come out in different ways: you may get a stomach ache, or tightness in your chest. Or, you may even feel panic for what feels like no reason. Mindfulness can help!

Mindfulness means staying focused on the present moment. When you start to feel overwhelmed, try bringing your attention to your breathing. Doing this - even for just one minute - can help you feel better.

Program Marketing
It is important for staff to familiarize themselves with the variety of program and services offered through CarePlus so that we can make appropriate referrals for those in need. For that reason, we are working on streamlining information and materials so that they are more easily accessible.

This involves appropriately updated Program Fact Sheets, comprehensive marketing folders, social media spotlights, and up to date information on the CarePlus website.

A new folder has been added to the S Drive so that staff can quickly access Program Information Sheets. These Fact Sheets can be found in the first folder in All Staff titled _FactSheets.

If you need any materials created, revised, or printed for your program or presentations you will need to utilize the electronic request form. This new system is being used to ensure timely and effective completion of projects.

You may have noticed recent Facebook posts highlighting some of our services. This is the part of our effort to market each of our programs to the community.

If you would like to put your team, group or program in the spotlight, contact the ACE team to make arrangements.

You can also send positive reviews and feedback for coworkers who go above and beyond. If you have anything you would like to submit for the InsideLine, email your story and information to Caitlyn Yerves.

Do YOU have a story to share? If you have a story, update, announcement, or photos to share on the InsideLine, on Facebook, or on the website, send it to the ACE team and we will work to get it out to staff and friends of CarePlus.
