October begins a wonderful season at The Caring Place. It's a time when we see our community coming together with the holiday spirit, and it's also a season of giving. Whether you are shopping, donating, volunteering or receiving services, we want you to know we appreciate you. We look forward to seeing you here as we live out our mission to provide for the basic needs of all people in our community in a welcoming, respectful and caring way.

In the Food Pantry: Hunger Free Holidays
Each year the months of October, November and December are filled with Food Drives by our community. This season, which we like to call "Hunger Free Holidays" is a time to come together as a community and fill the Food Pantry for your neighbors. We look forward to your many food and monetary donations at this time! If your organization would like to borrow a blue barrel for a Food Drive, please contact David at 512-943-0710. Our goal this year is to collect 300,000 pounds of food!

Thanks to Sun City Neighborhood 3 for kicking off Hunger Free Holidays with a bang. This neighborhood had a quick Food Drive and collected 239 pounds! Kathy Hartzler sent us this photo of just a few of the items collected! They focused on one of our most needed items - cereal!
On the Blog: Gratefulness
Do you love hearing about what we do? And do you love meeting the people we serve? You can find some of our impacts in stories on our blog.

This month, we invite you to meet Tim. Tim is full of gratefulness for The Caring Place and he made sure we knew it.
