Dear Carle Friends,
We are writing to share the news that The Carle is voluntarily closing to the public effective Sunday, December 20 at 4pm, due to the statewide spike in COVID-19 cases. We will continue to monitor state health data and will reopen as soon as we feel that it’s safe for our staff, visitors, and community. Everyone who has purchased advanced tickets will be contacted directly and issued a refund and the Carle Bookshop will continue shipping orders and offering curbside pickup.
We will miss seeing our visitors, especially on the last week of the year. It is usually such a joyful time, with many extended families coming together at the Museum. We know that the comfort and hope found in picture books are more important than ever. While we are closed to the public, The Carle staff will continue to offer virtual programs to help sustain us all. See our Online Resources and the social media links below.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum one day very soon. We have many great plans for 2021! Meantime, if you have questions, the staff is still available and working hard. We can be best reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
