The 2026 Gold Rush Twilight Camp is one week away and will be held from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26th at Crossroads Church in Concord, NC from 5:30 - 8:30 PM.

This year's theme is "T-Rex Expedition" Join us for a week of fun as Scouts participate in shooting sports, crafts, games, and so much more!

The fee is $75 for the week.

Note: Rising 1st Graders/Tigers will need an adult parent or guardian with them throughout the week.

Spots are filling up fast for the Central North Carolina Council presents the Community Aviation Day with the North Carolina Army National Guard at Army Aviation Support Facility in Salisbury, NC.

When: July 15th from 9am - Noon.

Where: North Carolina Army National Guard, Army Aviation Support Facility, 1235 National Guard Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147

For: Scouts BSA Members

Attire: Scouts BSA Uniform (Class A) must be worn by Scouts

Price: $5.00 (each Scout will receive a patch)

Scouts will have the opportunity to work on requirements for the Aviation Merit Badge along with interactive discussion on:

• Different type of aircraft
• Air Traffic Control
• Aviation Life Support
• Air Maintenance 
• Discussion with National Guard members

Crazy Summer Weather

Did you know that Hazardous Weather training must be renewed every two years to maintain your trained leader status? If your child has swim practice, band competitions, karate lessons, or other activities where you have some down time, instead of scrolling the ‘Gram, why not knock out some online Scouting training? Summer in the South can bring thunderstorms and unseasonably hot days. Weather training can help remind you of the precautions leaders need to take during this crazy season. 

You can complete the certification by simply going to my.scouting.org and login. Once there, find the Hazardous Weather training and retake the course. Come on, you know you’ve missed the weather trivia included in the course….
