2023 Future Public Employee Day
Thank you to everyone who made Future Public Employee Day a success on Fri., July 28. Nearly 75 children and teens explored City facilities and participated in various activities with their parent or relative, giving them the unique chance to see what their grown-up does every day while also learning about local government. We look forward to all of these kiddos growing into being amazing public servants.

Remember, all members of the medical plan, over the age of 18 as of 1/1/2023, are asked to complete this process or risk receiving a penalty. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Recognize Updates
There are new changes to the Recognize platform to increase the impact of recognitions! The new tag feature ties all recognitions to a Carrollton Difference tenet, and the 10-word requirement encourages meaningful messages. Redemptions are limited to $500 per employee per fiscal year, and Strategic Services will approve redemptions at least bi-weekly.

If you want to understand how something is built or works, take it apart and rebuild it yourself. This concept is also true in cybersecurity. If you want to know how cybercriminals successfully scam people, it’s vital to unmask their motives and look at the world from their perspective.
This month's issue explores how to get a true sense of who hackers or cybercriminals are and how to avoid becoming a victim. Check out the latest newsletter below:
