FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
|
Last month, the IMD announced a leadership transition, with CEO Dr. Suzet McKinney resigning from her position. The IMD is grateful to Dr. McKinney for setting the organization on a course to establish a vibrant, thriving health innovation district.
|
The IMD board of commissioners has begun working to identify a permanent CEO. I was honored that our commission appointed me interim executive director while the search process continues.
As IMD Chief of Staff for the past five years, I oversaw health and science programming as well as initiatives around workforce and neighborhood development, working in close partnership with IMD stakeholders and governmental officials at all levels to foster an ecosystem of collaboration and drive economic growth for the city, the county and the state.
|
I'd like to reaffirm our commitment to the mission of the IMD while uplifting and supporting the work of our stakeholders. I look forward to our continued engagement together.

Local, state and federal health officials continue to promote guidelines for citizens on how to protect themselves from COVID-19.
Individuals are encouraged to observe basic precautions to help protect against infection, such as:
- Washing your hands frequently with soap and water
- Coughing or sneezing into your elbow, rather than into your hands
- Avoid public places and social gatherings
- If you do need to go out, wear a mask or a face covering
- Consult with your medical provider if you feel sick
