Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
~~Happy Easter and many blessings St. Andrew's~~
Here in your May Cathedral Life, enjoy the beauty of our Easter celebrations and plan ahead for the Easter Season -- weekday prayer and Bible Study opportunities continue, as does our Wednesday Mass with Prayers for Healing. The labyrinth will be available throughout Easter (with more details to come!), and save-the-date for a special Evensong event on May 22. Many thanks to those who shared pictures with us – and massive and abundant thanks to all who made the many liturgies possible: musicians, vergers, altar guild, lectors, servers, ushers, streamers, hospitality (those hot cross buns!), and Cathedral staff. A labor of love by many hands--

If you are looking for a way to get involved in the life of the Cathedral, adding your hands to the efforts, we are looking for you, too-- and Easter is the perfect time:

You saw the brilliant work of the altar guild all through Holy Week and Easter – consider volunteering and joining in their special, and vital, behind-the-scenes ministry. We'd love to have more greeters and ushers to share in the welcomes on Sunday mornings. Consider training to serve at the altar, or perhaps share in the readings from scripture, or sing in the choir. Enliven your walk with the risen Christ by joining us in service – let me know if you are interested and I will get you connected!

Again, happy, blessed Easter!
Christ is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

will be open from 9am to 9:45am.
Choral Evensong on Sunday, May 22
On Sunday, May 22, we will be holding a special Choral Evensong in honor of Earth Day and inspired by the dedicated work on Creation Care which the national church has taken on as a body of believers and followers of Christ Jesus.

“As a whole church, we have promised to place the care of God's Creation at the heart of our common life. Together, we have taken up church-wide action in order to safeguard the integrity of Creation and to sustain and renew the life of the Earth.” (see their website for more details)

Stay tuned for more details!

Holy God, your mercy is over all your works,
and in the web of life each creature has its role and place.
We praise you for ocelot and owl, cactus and kelp, lichen and whale; we honor you for whirlwind and lava, tide and topsoil, cliff and marsh. Give us hearts and minds eager to care for your planet,
humility to recognize all creatures as your beloved ones,
justice to share the resources of the earth with all its inhabitants,
and love not limited by our ignorance.
This we pray in the name of Jesus,
who unifies what is far off and what is near,
and in whom, by grace and the working of your Holy Spirit,
all things hold together. Amen.
Baptisms on Pentecost Sunday
O God, the creator and savior of all flesh, look with mercy on
your children whom you call to yourself in love.

Is God calling you or a family member to be Baptized? If so, our next opportunity for Baptism is on the Day of Pentecost, Sunday, June 5!
Get in touch with office@cathedralhawaii.org for more details!
