Flour Power Club Bake Sale

Flour Power will be having a bake sale on Monday, February 2 for Team Luke Hope for Minds, which is a nonprofit organization that enriches "the lives of children with a brain injury and gives hope to their families through support and education."

This bake sale will be CASH ONLY, so please bring in cash on Monday 2/2. 

Donations will be accepted. 

Counseling Presentation for Sophomore Parents has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 3 at 8:00 AM.

The Counseling Department invites all sophomore parents for an informal presentation on Tuesday, February 3 at 8:00 AM in the Fine Arts Center. We will familiarize parents with sophomore year specific tasks such as AP course applications, continuing extracurriculars, academic progress, and preliminary college preparations and expectations. The counselors will present the same information to sophomores on January 29 during Theology class.

Brain Break Activities

The PTO Student Enrichment team is excited to share our new brain break activities in the library beginning Tuesday February 3rd. Stop by during morning break to unwind with color by number books and jigsaw puzzles. These activities will be available each day during morning break when the library is open. We encourage all students to utilize these activities. Parents, if you have new or used puzzles please consider donating them. Thank you.

Walk & Talk Reminder

Sophomores interested in participating in the February 3rd Walk & Talk should sign up via the google doc emailed to them.   

Save the date! The first freshman Walk & Talk will take place on Tuesday February 17th, stay tuned for an email with sign up information.

Girls Flag Football Meeting

We will have a girls flag football meeting on Tuesday, February 3, during break time in the gym. See coach Bolling if you have any questions.

Yearbook Class Applications for the 2026-27 School Year

The yearbook class is taking applications for next year's class. You must be able to meet during G period. If you are interested please pick up an application outside of Room 514 and return in by Monday, February 23.

SATurday Prep Class Winter 2026

Veteran CCHS teachers Chris Yarussi and Jeremy Kuhn offer strategies and guided practice for the Digital SAT to current CCHS students. 

  • The course, totaling 12 contact hours, takes place at CCHS over three Saturdays: January 31, February 7, and February 21. Cost: $220.
  • Participants must bring their assigned CCHS laptop fully charged.
  • Cost: $220.  Early-bird rate thru Friday, January 23: $200. All payments must be received by Friday, January 30, 2026

If you’ve been awarded a merit or athletic scholarship from a college or outside organization, please report it using the Scholarship Reporting Form.

  • To be recognized, your award letter must include your name and the scholarship amount. Upload one letter per submission.
  • Important: Be sure to save a copy of your award letter before notifying a college that you will not attend—once your portal access ends, you may lose that information.
  • Please note: Scholarship award amounts will not be published, but all scholarships reported will be listed in the graduation program.
  • Don’t wait—submit scholarships as soon as you receive them so we can celebrate your achievements all year long!

Men's Volleyball

Come join men’s volleyball - all skill levels welcome!  

  • Preseason workouts February 3 & 6, from 3:00-4:30 PM.
  • Regular season practice: 3:00-4:30 PM beginning February 9.


Men's Tennis Tryouts

Tennis tryouts will be held at Marion Diehl Park on Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17 from 3 PM - 5 PM


In order to try out, you must upload all up-to-date mandatory forms to Dragonfly, on or before February 16. If you have not already done so, please stop by Room 512 to sign up for tryouts.

Waldron Family Scholarship for Political Science, Government and Public Policy

We’re excited to announce the inaugural Waldron Family Scholarship for Political Science, Government and Public Policy—a new opportunity designed to support the next generation of civic leaders and changemakers. This $5,000 scholarship, renewable for each year of college study, is open to 12th-grade CCHS students who plan to major in Political Science, Government or Public Policy in college. The Waldron Family Scholarship is more than financial support—it’s an investment in students passionate about public service, leadership, and shaping the future. 2026 Arrive Alive Scholarship Program

The Arrive Alive Scholarship is now accepting applications. They will award ten $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors. Students will be selected based on their grades, school and community involvement, SAT or ACT scores, and a presentation designed to inspire their peers to abstain from underage drinking and driving or distracted driving. A copy of the scholarship application is available for download on the Michael A. DeMayo website.


Applications will be accepted through Monday, March 23, 2026.

Senior Parents: Each year the CCHS PTO fills the main hallway with each senior's graduation and kindergarten pictures. To assist, please provide a picture of your child in kindergarten(ish) as follows:

Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship

The Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council (CMARC) is pleased to share information about the Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship offers a one-time $1,000 award to one qualifying Charlotte-area high school senior. The scholarship is open to current seniors who relocated to the Charlotte area anytime between 8th grade graduation and 12th grade. Applications are due by March 2, 2026. Seniors who believe they are eligible should come to the Counseling Office to pick up an application.

Florence Kidder Memorial Scholarship

Applications are now open! This award recognizes North Carolina high school seniors who plan to attend a postsecondary program in North Carolina next fall. Submit a short essay and your application by February 8, 2026Apply HERE!

Lift Up Carolinas Scholarship Applications Now Open!

Lift Up Carolinas (formerly Assistance League of Charlotte) has opened its 2026 scholarship application season, running November 30, 2025 – March 22, 2026. Seniors can apply HERE. More information is available at liftupcarolinas.org.

 

Scholarships are available for seniors attending a Mecklenburg County high school who are either planning to enroll full-time at one of the 17 UNC system campuses (min. 3.0 weighted GPA and 1100 SAT / 21 ACT) OR planning to enroll full-time at CPCC (min. 2.5 weighted GPA).

Volunteers Needed for St. Gabriel's Pierogi Dinner!

St Gabriel is looking for student volunteers to help at the parish Pierogi dinner on the evening of Friday, February 6 in St Gabriel school cafeteria. There are two time slots available to sign up - it's a great way to earn service hours and get a FREE pierogi dinner! Sign up to volunteer!

An Evening with Dr. John Wood

St. Ann Church is welcoming Dr. John Wood, Founder and President of Extraordinary Mission, on Wednesday, January 28, at 7:00 PM. Dr. Wood will share a presentation on The Last Words of Christ: The Cure to the Seven Deadly Sins. This event is geared toward parents, but children are welcome as well.

Pierogi Dinner at St. Gabriel Church 

Everyone is invited Friday, February 6, 5:30 - 8:30 PM! Come enjoy an authentic Polish pierogi and kielbasa dinner hosted by the St. Gabriel Church Men's Club in the St. Gabriel School cafeteria (3028 Providence Road). Dine in or take out. Notre Dame Vision 2026

Vision is a week-long summer opportunity for students who want to grow deeper in their faith while experiencing the life of the University of Notre Dame. Vision’s focus is to create a space for students to understand their stories and to recognize how God is active in their lives and is calling them to holiness. Registration is now open.

Inclusion Rocks Concert

The Inclusion Rocks Festival is an annual celebration, bringing community together to support inclusive education across Catholic Schools. The festival will take place at Charlotte Catholic High School on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 1:00 - 7:00 PM.
