Important Information for Students Taking the SAT on Saturday, November 8
- Check your computer and confirm that the "BlueBook" application is installed on your CCHS MacBook. If it is not, see Mr. Hicks in the library before the end of the day on Friday, November 7th.
- On Saturday morning of the test, arrive for the SAT by 7:45 AM to allow yourself time to check into the testing center. Doors will open at 7:30 AM and the test starts promptly at 8:00 AM. This is a large administration. Arriving early allows us to begin on time. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to test.
- Bring your printed SAT entry ticket and photo ID and your fully-charged computer. Acceptable forms of photo ID are current year Student ID, valid Driver's License, or a Passport. You may print your ticket once you log into the BlueBook application on your computer and go through the preliminary terms for the test on Saturday. Failure to bring any one of these items will result in dismissal from the test center. There are no loaner computers available for those who forget their computer.
- Make sure to charge your computer the night before the SAT. Opportunities to charge your computer while testing will be limited, and may hinder the completion of your test. Having a full charge when you arrive will alleviate this issue.
-
One final note - if you are taking your SAT test here at CCHS, you will use your Charlotte Catholic issued computer. If, however, you are testing at a site OTHER THAN Catholic, you will need to use a personal device. CMS Schools have already stated that devices with protection and monitoring software such as ours will not work on any of their networks.
