Thanksgiving Food Box Collection
CCHS SAAC and CCHS Athletics have a long standing tradition of helping the Charlotte Rescue Mission with their Annual Thanksgiving Food Box Drive, CCHS is collecting and distributing Thanksgiving Food Boxes and Frozen Turkeys to help families in need this holiday season. We have a goal of 100 boxes.
Here’s how the Cougar Community can help:
CCHS Athletics will drop the frozen turkeys and boxes to the Charlotte Rescue Mission in one delivery.

Food Drive for Our Lady of Consolation and the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen
The Student Council is sponsoring a canned food drive for Our Lady of Consolation and the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen. Please place non-perishable food items along the first-floor hall outside Campus Ministry. All donated items will be delivered Friday, November 21. Thank you, in advance, for your generous hearts.

Freshmen Health Class Presentation
On Wednesday, November 12, at 7:45am, Freshmen currently taking health class will be presented with a suicide awareness and prevention program in the Fine Arts Center. They will listen to a 40 minute presentation by our speaker. Students will learn about the warning signs, how to help a friend and where to go for help at school and in the community. We encourage all of you to ask your children about this presentation and get their thoughts.

Gratitude Wall
The PTO has partnered with the Mental Health Club to create the "Cougars PAWS for Gratitude Wall" where students can write what they are grateful for to be displayed throughout the month of November. If you are a student interested in adding a note of gratitude to the wall, please see Mrs. Tesch or Mrs. Clementi in the Counseling Office.

Winterguard Interest Meeting
Interested in joining the Winterguard team? Join us for meeting in the band room Thursday, November 13 after school from 3:00-3:45 PM Winterguard, the competitive winter season of Colorguard, combines flags, dance, and props to create an indoor, choreographed spectacle. It's a great way to build teamwork and confidence! The CCHS team placed 3rd last year at the regional competition and 2nd in 2023.
No experience is necessary!

Teacher and Staff Thanksgiving Treats!
The PTO is asking families to send in yummy treats- cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, pies or candies - for our wonderful teachers and staff. We would like to package the treats and present them to the teachers and staff the week before Thanksgiving so they can enjoy them with their families. Please label the item as to what it is and include possible allergens. Items should be packaged in a disposable container and should be sized to feed 4-6 people. You may include your family's name along with the recipe if you wish.
Please sign up to donate - treats can be dropped off to the front office anytime Tuesday, November 18, and up until noon on Wednesday, November 19.
The teachers and staff have really enjoyed the delicious treats in past years and we are happy to be able to continue the tradition. We appreciate your consideration and support.

Junior Parent College Planning Night

Please join the Counseling Department for a Junior Parent Night. The counselors will provide a comprehensive overview of the college planning process. This session will cover everything students and parents need to know about researching, choosing, and applying to college.

- To be recognized, your award letter must include your name and the scholarship amount. Upload one letter per submission.

Important: Be sure to save a copy of your award letter before notifying a college that you will not attend—once your portal access ends, you may lose that information.
