6A/7A Conference Tennis Tournament

Congratulations to the girls tennis team. At Wednesday's conference tournament, Carla Perezgrovas was the 6A/7A Southern Carolina Singles Conference Champion, and Ella Davis and Maddie McWilliams were the Tournament Doubles Champions.


Congratulations to Ella Davis, Carla Perezgrovas, Maddie McWilliams, Anna Groccia, and Ariana Valenta on their selection to the All Conference Tennis Team.


Special congratulations to Ella Davis -- she is the 6A Southern Carolina All Conference Tennis Player of the Year!

Tar Heel Business Academy Summer Program Information Session

A representative from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School will visit CCHS to share details about the Tar Heel Business Academy, a week-long summer program designed for rising juniors and seniors interested in business and entrepreneurship, held at the Bank of America Tower in Charlotte. Students explore business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership, while working on team projects to support their ideas.

  • Friday, October 10, at 9:15 AM in the Fine Arts Center
  • This event is for 10th and 11th grade students only
  • Students must sign up with Mrs. Tesch in the Counseling Department by Thursday afternoon; teacher approval is required.

Career Exploratory Program Showcase

CCHS parents are invited to drop-in anytime for the Career Exploratory Program Showcase on Friday, October 17, in the library from 7:45 AM – noon.

 

At this event, seniors who participated in the pilot Career Exploratory Program (CEP) last summer will share information about the program and their experiences. All juniors are eligible to apply for next summer’s cohort and will attend the showcase during their social studies classes.

Underclassmen Makeup Picture day is scheduled for Friday, October 24. If you did not get your picture taken on the original day, you will automatically be scheduled. If you want to re-take your pictures, please sign up on the sheet outside of Room 514.

Campus Ministry Updates

  • Every Friday there is an opportunity for parents to participate in a prayer group dedicated to Our Lady at 10:00 AM in the Sisters of Mercy conference room.


  • Please sign up as a chaperone for the Senior Retreat at Camp Thunderbird on November 10 and 11. If you are unable to come during the day, please consider being an overnight chaperone.

COUNSELING CORNER

Notre Dame on the Road!

Charlotte Catholic High School is excited to host the Notre Dame Admissions team for ND on the Road on Thursday, October 9, at 7:00 PM in the Fine Arts Center.


The session will include information on academic, community, and spiritual life at the University of Notre Dame, as well as insights into the admissions and financial aid processes. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered. Students and families are invited and should register here. This event is open to Charlotte Catholic and all Charlotte area high school students and families.

Seniors, we want to celebrate your success!

If you’ve been awarded a merit or athletic scholarship from a college or outside organization, please report it using the Scholarship Reporting Form.

  • To be recognized, your award letter must include your name and the scholarship amount. Upload one letter per submission.
  • Important: Be sure to save a copy of your award letter before notifying a college that you will not attend—once your portal access ends, you may lose that information.
  • Please note: Scholarship award amounts will not be published, but all scholarships reported will be listed in the graduation program.
  • Don’t wait—submit scholarships as soon as you receive them so we can celebrate your achievements all year long!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & COMMUNITY EVENTS

Chameleon's Journey - Grief Camp:

Opportunity for teens to help heal through the grieving process. Campers report the best part of the experience is participating with people their own age!


The camp will be held October 11 and 12, at the YMCA Camp Thunderbird facility on Lake Wylie. For more information and to register, visit the Chameleons Journey website.
