Prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows

Holy Mary, Mother of God and Queen of Martyrs, I do this day choose you as my model, protectress, and advocate. Receive me as your special servant, as a partaker in your sufferings. Give me strength always to remain close to Jesus your Son who died on the cross for me. Accept every good work that I may perform and offer it to your Son for me. Dear Mother, stand by me in all my actions, that they may be directed to the glory of God. Amen.

The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority and we want to share our visitor policy to ensure the security of our campus.

Effective immediately, and until further notice, we are temporarily restricting unscheduled drop-in visits during school hours. Parents, alumni, and other guests who wish to meet with faculty or staff are asked to schedule their visit in advance by phone or email.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we believe these precautions are necessary to help keep our community safe. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued prayers as we work together to protect our students and provide them with a safe place to learn and grow in faith.

COUNSELING CORNER

September is Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized topic. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope, and share vital information to those affected by suicide. Our goal is to ensure all people have access to necessary resources to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help. The Counseling department would like to highlight some resources available on the CCHS website.

Upcoming College Visits

As we begin our fall college representative visits, please keep in mind the following guidelines:

  • College visits are open to juniors and seniors only.
  • Students must register for each visit in SCOIR no later than the day before the scheduled session.
  • New this year: On the morning of the visit, students must pick up a pass from their homeroom teacher. This pass must be signed by the teacher of the class you will miss, indicating their permission for you to attend. Unsigned passes will not be accepted.
  • Attendance is at the teacher’s discretion. Students may not attend if there is a test, quiz, or other critical class activity. You are responsible for any missed assignments.
  • If you need to cancel your RSVP, please do so promptly. Colleges can view attendance numbers and expect to meet with registered students.

These visits are an excellent opportunity to explore potential colleges and make a positive impression. Please be respectful, attentive, and come prepared with thoughtful questions.
