Student Tickets for The Wizard of Oz

The CCHS spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, runs from March 25-28. Students with activity passes that want to receive their free ticket to the musical should email Mr. Marcus Riter.

Senior Graduation Announcement Pick Up

Senior Students should pick up their pre-ordered Graduation Announcements and other materials ordered with the cap and gown on Wednesday, March 25 or Thursday, March 26, during third lunch in the hall outside of the cafeteria. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Jones

Purchase Your 2025-26 Yearboook

You can purchase a yearbook for your student for $95 prior to spring break. After spring break, the price will go $105.

Course Registration

The Counseling Department continues individual course registration meetings this week. Counselors will meet with all 9th and 10th graders to review teacher recommendations and select courses for next year. Students should come prepared having reviewed the curriculum guide and with their course registration worksheet fully completed to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process.

and may be purchased here.

Prom is a formal event and CCHS students and guests are expected to

wear formal attire following the Charlotte Catholic Dance Dress Code:

• Gentlemen: Semi-formal attire that includes either a tuxedo suit and tie or a sport coat with slacks and a tie.
• Ladies: Dresses with spaghetti straps, strapless or halter tops are acceptable, providing that the drop of the neck remains modest.

Please ensure that dresses are mid-thigh length or longer, and if wearing a backless dress, it does not drop below one’s mid-section. Low cut dresses, those with extreme cutouts or those with see-through or mesh material are not permitted.

If a student is bringing a guest from another school, it is his or her responsibility to make sure the guest meets the standards of this dress code. (Feel free to forward this message to them.) In addition, students must pick up a “guest pass” from the dean of students’ office and return it by Thursday, April 23, 2026. The guest pass requires a signature from the

school administrator (of the guest), and no late forms will be accepted.

A message from Mr. Telford, Head of School

Members of the Lumen Accreditation team will be onsite at our school on Wednesday, March 25, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM. During their visit, they will meet with various stakeholder groups, including school leaders, parents, teachers and staff, and students. They will also visit various classrooms. 

Their goal is to recognize many of the good things happening in our school and across our diocesan school system, while also helping us identify areas where we can continue to grow. Our school is one of six schools being visited as part of a representative cohort across the diocesan system.

Later this spring, following a debrief with all principals at their April meeting, the Catholic Schools Office will share a diocese-wide communication summarizing the visit process and findings, the preparation work completed by all of our schools, and the next steps as we continue moving forward in our pursuit of excellence.

If you’ve been awarded a merit or athletic scholarship from a college or outside organization, please report it using the Scholarship Reporting Form.

• To be recognized, your award letter must include your name and the scholarship amount. Upload one letter per submission.
• Important: Be sure to save a copy of your award letter before notifying a college that you will not attend—once your portal access ends, you may lose that information.
• Please note: Scholarship award amounts will not be published, but all scholarships reported will be listed in the graduation program.
• Don’t wait—submit scholarships as soon as you receive them so we can celebrate your achievements all year long!

Spring College Visit Reminders

As we begin hosting spring college representative visits, please keep the following in mind:

• Visits are intended for juniors and sophomores. Seniors should attend only if they are seriously considering that school.
• Register in SCOIR by the day before the visit. Bring a screenshot of your registration signed by your teacher as your entry pass.
• Attendance is at the teacher's discretion. Students may not attend if they have a test or quiz and are responsible for any missed work.
• If you can no longer attend, cancel your RSVP promptly so colleges have an accurate headcount.
• Come prepared, be respectful, and bring thoughtful questions-this is your chance to make a great impression.

KUDOS

Anna Miller ('28) competed in the Body Armor Figure Skating State Games of North Carolina and earned a Gold Medal for Charlotte Catholic High School in High School Artistic Free Skate. She will compete on March 28, 2026 at the Eastern Sectional High School Final in Hartford, Connecticut.

Congratulations to CCHS Moot Court Teams

he CCHS moot court teams coached by Ms. Janet Fort competed at regionals on Saturday arguing both sides of first amendment issues: Michael Nowak '26 and Lucas Leonard '26, Grant Clark '26 and Julianna Taylor '26, Juliet Smarz '27 and Jack McCarter '27, Conner Phagan '28 and Sam Kaupp '27, and Beckett Barlas '27 and Brennan Hay '27. All teams represented CCHS well. The team of Juliet Smarz and Jack McCarter qualified for the state finals, which will be held May 1 in the NC Supreme Court. Thank you to Mrs. Jen Taylor for her coaching assistance.

Women's Field Hockey Interest Meeting

There will a meeting on Wednesday, April 15, at 7:00 pm in the CCHS cafeteria for all girls interested in trying out for field hockey and girls interested in supporting the team as managers.
