Upcoming Events

March 9, 2024 Caucus and Assembly

Even though you will receive a ballot in the mail for the Presidential primary, Colorado still holds a caucus every four years for the election of other state and federal offices.

This year, the Delta County Democratic Party Caucus and Assembly will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Hotchkiss Elementary School Gym (Aka Hotchkiss K8) located at 465 Lorah Ln, Hotchkiss, CO 81419. We will do everything we can to make this event as fun as possible, so please plan to attend.

Every Democrat registered in Delta County is invited. If you are registered as an unaffiliated (independent) voter, you are welcome, but not allowed to vote or participate in the delegate election process.

Adam Frisch - CD3 Congressional Candidate Visits with Voters in Delta

Delta County Democratic Party Co-Chairs Jeff Skeels and Dea Jacobson along with Secretary Debbie Kimball welcomed and introduced Adam Frisch to 30 faithful Delta County voters at DogHouse Espresso on Main Street in downtown Delta this afternoon.

They sipped their delicious, fair trade, organic coffee and listened to Adam’s message for nearly an hour.

The focus of his talk was centered on water, energy, jobs, and his promise to make sure rural America becomes a focus again in Washington, DC. His message was well received by the engaged crowd.

Adam emphasized that with a shrinking water supply and ever increasing need from downstream states and the Front Range, our district’s water is under threat. He spoke to the enthusiastic voters about how critical the 3rd Congressional District’s water issues are and how he will fight to keep outside interests from making decisions about our water and how he will work to provide funding for healthy watersheds, increased storage, modernized water infrastructure and better conservation practices. “I will do whatever it takes to protect Colorado’s water and keep it in its home basins”, he assured the Delta County voters who were there to listen to the 3rd Congressional District candidate.
