SCHOOL DELAYS
& CLOSINGS

There are three ways that we will notify you of school delays and closings. In case of bad weather, please check the school website, your E-mail and local TV news. If Kenton County has a one hour delay, SJS will do the same so that we can use the buses. There are times where Kenton County then makes the decision to close, but SJS may remain open. Please be sure to check several times in the morning to see what SJS will be doing.

EXPLORE MORE
FRIDAY NIGHTS

The Explorations program consists of three individual programs held on Friday Evenings:

January 18 - Arts Night Out
January 25 - Tech Night Out

Please see the flyer attached for more information!

MAP TESTING

Students in grades 1-7 have started taking the Winter MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests. Please be sure that your children are getting a good night sleep, eating a protein packed breakfast and they are here at school each day. (unless they are sick)
Please talk to your child about the importance of the tests. They need to try their best on each one (Math, Language and Reading) so that we can see the progress they are making. This allows us to measure academic growth.
