thinking about this, school will begin
before you know it. On August 5,
from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., you will be able to stop by the school office and pick up your family packets and purchase any supplies that must come from the school.
AIR CONDITIONING
Here is some "cool" news. Work has now begun on the air conditioning in the SJS gym. Hopefully, we will have air in the gym sometime at the beginning of September.
VIRTUS TRAINING

This safe environment program for children has been mandated by the Bishop of the United States for all employees and volunteers who in any way deal with children in Catholic Schools; therefore if you have not attended a Virtus presentation, or are not current on your monthly bulletins, you cannot volunteer; this includes volunteering in the cafeteria, on the playground or as a field trip chaperone. If you would like to register to attend a Virtus session, please go to the website at www.virtus.org.
ACCELERATED READER

Please note that there will be no Accelerated Reading Program at St. Joseph School for the 2019-2020 school year. Instead, there will be 3 new Pilot Reading programs that the students and teachers will be testing. There will be more information about these programs throughout the year.
WELCOME TO SJS
We would like to welcome two new teachers to our school family this year. Mrs. Abby Stayton will be teaching our third grade (3A)and Mrs. Gina Krieg will be teaching our sixth grade (6B).
