Dear Saint Patrick Family,
I hope you all are doing great, I know it is cold outside and the temperature keeps dropping, so stay warm and safe and know that you are in our prayers.
For those that I haven’t met yet, I am Father Wilfredo Fernandez, or Father Will to make it easier for you, your new associate pastor. I am glad to be at Saint Patrick. Luna and I are still adjusting to our new home and schedule, but so far things are going great. Luna, also known as the office dog, is my personal assistant. She is three years old in dog years and works Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can see her picture in our new children’s bulletin or in our regular bulletin that was published on the weekend of the Epiphany of the Lord. Stop by my office and she will be happy to see you.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with me for any reason, contact me at wfernandez@stpatlou.org. Email is the best way to get hold of me and I have the same office hours as Luna.
As you all know, Father Jeff had partial knee replacement surgery last week. It was successful and he is doing physical therapy and getting stronger. Everything seems to be working according to the plan. He was able to worship with us this past weekend. Please continue to prayer for him and his fast recovery. We hope to see him
celebrating Mass again this coming weekend, January 24/25.
This Thursday, January 22, is a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. We will have daily Mass at 8:00 a.m. and I will be the celebrant and Deacon Scott will preach. Right after Mass we will have Eucharistic Adoration until 4:30 p.m. Join us if you are available. If you cannot make it, I ask you to pray in solidarity for those who are marching in the annual March for Life in Washington DC.
We are Saint Pats and Go Celtics!
Fr. Wilfredo
