Hi everyone,
As the colors of fall are starting to surround us, we're reminded of the beauty of change and the blessings that come with every new season. It's also a time to reflect and give thanks for the love of our families, parish community and God's presence in our lives. Through a variety of ministry offerings here, you can nurture your faith, renew or incorporate a commitment to prayer and offer your time and talent in service to others. Whether it's joining a parish/school ministry, helping with an upcoming event or simply reaching out to someone in need, every act of kindness helps strengthen the foundation of our community.
Speaking of prayer, our first prayer challenge with Hallow called "How to Pray" began on Monday, October 13. It's not too late to sign up for the App and participate. The instructions are listed below. Prayer challenges are a great way to develop daily habits of prayer and encounter Jesus. No matter what your daily schedule looks like, whether you are driving in the car or winding down in the evening, you will learn different prayer methods in this 14 session prayer challenge. There is music, audiobooks, the mass, and rosary, just to name a few. We've had over 100 parishioners sign up for the App since we launched 2 weeks ago. Take a good next step in your faith journey and sign up today!
If you are looking for service opportunities, our Knights of Columbus, a fraternal organization for men of the parish, will have their membership drive this weekend at all masses. There will be representatives in the gathering space so make sure to stop by their table. They are also conducting their annual Tootsie Roll Drive so get a head start on your Halloween candy and help support people with intellectual disabilities. There is also a Sacred Heart Holy Hour prayer opportunity sponsored by our Knights on Thursday, October 16 at 630 pm in the church.
May we carry hearts full of gratitude and hope as we journey together.
Have a great week!
