MESSAGE FROM FR. LOI

Good afternoon everybody,

May the love of Christ fill your hearts today.

I think this is the longest constant contact I’ve ever sent you. So please bear with me.

Our Catholic Services Appeal is off to a great start! After two weeks, we are at 44% of our dollar goal and 29% of our participation goal, which is the same pace as last year after our kickoff. You will notice our visual in the gathering space with the words, HOPE, and each dove signifying participation through a donation to CSA. Thank you if you have already made a gift to the appeal and we invite everyone to discern what God is calling you to do through the appeal to offer hope and help to all those who need who need it the most. Ways to give to CSA, including links, is included under the Giving section in this email.

Respect Life month continues through the end of October. Thanks for returning filled bags to support Little Way Pregnancy Center and Lifehouse Maternity Home. Please return bags on or before November 1. There are also a number of resources on the display table in the gathering space that can help educate us at every stage of life from conception, through birth, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Last but not least, we are close to 200 members of Hallow, the #1 prayer App! We are currently on the 8th day of our 14 day 1st Prayer Challenge called "How to Pray" so I challenge those who haven’t signed up yet to take a few minutes to sign up today. Hopefully, Hallow will be a good tool assisting us growing closer to God.

Rest assured of my prayers for each one of you.

With Christ’s love and peace,

Fr. Loi

Formation Resources Update

After review and discussion, we have decided not to renew our subscription to FORMED.org for the upcoming year. This decision was made, taking into consideration both cost and parish usage. Although FORMED has provided many wonderful Catholic resources, our records indicate that only a small portion of parishioners have actively utilized the platform. We thank everyone who has made use of FORMED over the past years, and we look forward to offering new and meaningful ways to continue growing in faith together.

As good stewards of parish funds, we want to ensure that our resources are directed toward programs and materials that best serve the needs and participation of our parish community. We invite you to download and use Hallow, the #1 prayer app! Through prayer and meditation rooted in the Catholic faith, Hallow helps people grow closer to God and find peace.

Everyone is invited to be a part of our parish community page in Hallow. There, you can create a profile, add friends, share/respond to prayer intentions, and take part in prayer challenges with the parish. The steps are listed below.

If you have any issues getting someone set up on the app, please reach out to parishsupport@hallow.app
