MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

This Saturday is All Saints Day on Saturday when we honor saints both known and unknown. It is not a holy day of obligation this year because it falls on a Saturday. On Sunday, however, we celebrate All Souls Day and at the 5:30 p.m. mass we will remember and pray for those who have died. Names will be read of parishioners, family members, and loved ones who have died in the past year. We invite you to write names of those who have died in the "Book of the Dead" that is located near the choir and Pieta statue in the church.

Thanks, again, to our Disciples for Life ministry and all those who have participated in prayer and other pro-life ministry opportunities during the month of October, Respect Life month. The collection bags for Little Way and Lifehouse Maternity Home has filled our shelves! Thanks for your generous support.

Please help us reach our goals for the Catholic Services Appeal by Thanksgiving. Remarkably, we are ahead of where we were at this time last year! Thank you to those who have made a gift so far.

National Vocation Awareness Week is November 2-8. It’s an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renewing our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations. Please pray for vocations, encourage those who are seeking God’s will for their life, or prayerfully consider God’s call in your own life.

God bless you!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
